This red wine is a blend of Moravia Agria (90%), one of the endangered Spanish varieties characterized by its high acidity, and Garnacha (10%). The vineyards are planted in the town of Villanueva de la Jara (Cuenca), on clay soils with a calcareous base, 600 to 700 meters above sea level.
Buena Pinta is aged in French oak barrels of 600 litres for a period of seven months.
On pouring it into the glass, one can discern its bright ruby colour of low to medium density. Its nose is perfumed and complex, with the aromas of ashes, cherries and black plum skin combining with subtle hints of cocoa and fallen leaves. On the palate, it's very fresh and slightly bitter, full and lively.
