The hand harvested Manto Negro (90%) and Syrah (10%) grapes, grown in calcareous clay with boulders that heat-up in the afternoon sun, are fermented with natural yeasts in stainless, then matured for 12 months in 500L French barrels, followed by 6 months in 4000L French oak foudre and 6 months in bottle.
Garnet in colour, with a purple trim, the nose provides expressive aromas of raspberry and blueberry. You may also note a subtle menthol background and toasted wood.
In the mouth, the entry is light, with sweet tannins at the fore. Nicely balanced with excellent acidity, there is an abundance of red fruit to engage the palate, followed by a spacious, elegant and persistent ﬁnish.
