Mencia de Espanillo is a rustic, bold wine with a big personality. Made with mainly Mencía grapes blended with some Alicante Bouschet and Godello, this wine comes from 80-year old vines 700 metres above sea level in the town of Espanillo.
The Atlantic soils are infused with sand and decomposed slate, giving the wine a distinct oceanic quality.
On the nose, black fruits and powerful in the mouth. Pair this wine with grilled meats or sharp cheeses.
