This mountain white is made with 100% Godello hand-harvested from the best grapes on Gregory's small plots in the villages of Cacabellos, Valtuille and Villafranca in Spain's Bierzo region. The Valtuille and Villafranca soils are infused with calcerous clay, while Cacabellos' soils are infused with stone.
The wine was fermented with wild yeasts in wooden foudre and raised for ten months on fine lees in two 4,000 litre oval wooden vats. There is a wonderful smoky minerality to this wine with notes of grapefruit, powder and savoury.
The finish offers deep earthy mineral notes, and a perfumed, mouthwatering length.
