Las Uvas de la Ira (meaning “The Grapes of Wrath”) is made from 100% Grenache from several sites on granitic sands near the village of El Real de San Vicente. The grapes were harvested from vines with an average age of 60 years.
The entry-point to Daniel Landi’s wines, it was made with the same meticulous care that goes into his single vineyard wines: hand harvesting, partial whole cluster maceration, and natural fermentation. It was aged one year in foudre prior to bottling.
“A very light and delicately fragrant nose with red flowers, red cherries and a leafy, sappy edge. The palate has a succulent array of fresh strawberries and a sleek and juicy, elegant yet firm feel on the palate. Detailed and delicious Grenache here. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.” – James Suckling
