Nat Cool Pistoles is an orange wine made from Xarel·lo Vermell and Malvasia de Sitges, produced in collaboration with the Niepoort family. Nat Cool come in IL bottles and stress this is a "cool" wine. 
These are the rules of engagement for the Nat Cool Wines:
  • No rules.

  • Less is more.
  • Cooler = less extraction, less alcohol, less mess.
  • Authentic, organic, cool attitude.
  • One litre bottle.

The ‘pistoles’ refer to a mixed pruning system commonly used in the Penedès for varieties such as Xarel·lo and Malvasia de Sitges, which tend to have low fertility when pruned short. The name “pistoles” (pistols) comes from the shape of the resulting canes, which resemble firearms.
