The Vibe This is the red wine you reach for when you want purity without the weight. L'Altre (meaning "The Other") is a vivid, high-energy expression of the Pyrenees foothills. It strikes a perfect balance between glou-glou drinkability and the structural depth that comes from Lagravera's organic farming.

The Taste On the nose, the 2021 vintage leads with creamy, lactic notes reminiscent of raspberry and blackberry yogurt. As it opens, an elegant backdrop of raw chocolate and sweet spices emerges. The palate is light and velvety, defined by a "double personality": the upfront juiciness of fresh forest fruits followed by a soft, rounded finish with perfectly integrated tannins.

The Story Celler Lagravera began in 2006 as a project to restore a former gravel quarry—the name itself means "the gravel pit"—into a working organic vineyard. The estate has been certified organic by the CCPAE since its inception in 2006, and later achieved Demeter biodynamic certification in 2014. Winemaker Pilar Salillas has pushed that vision forward since 2018. L'Altre is a blend of Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, fermented with wild yeasts split between stainless steel and cement tanks, then aged two months in neutral French oak barrels for texture without losing the wine's mountain fruit character.
