Lanave is made from a blend of 50% Garnacha, 40% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano on old vines from three sub-regions in Rioja: Rioja Oriental, Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
The wine is fermented destemmed in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in a combination of concrete and 500-liter barrels for one year, which gives it a faint spicy and creamy twist, but it's fruit-driven with notes of red berries and flowers. It has a medium-bodied palate with very fine tannins and is balanced and pleasant. It has 13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.5 and 5.6 grams of acidity. 12,666 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2024.
