The Vibe This is Mallorca stripped of postcards. The 2019 vintage follows the "less is more" philosophy that founders Francesc Grimalt and Sergio Caballero adopted from 2018 onward — minimal intervention built on deep study of soils, microclimate, and variety. At 12% alcohol, it is light by weight and serious by intent.

The Taste
Wild berries, herbs, and flowers with a creamy spiciness. The palate is round and seamless, with a nicely textured finish and sparkling freshness.  The oak is integrated, not decorative — 14 months in 600-litre French oak barrels adds structure without masking the fruit. The Story
4Kilos was founded in 2006 by former Anima Negra winemaker Francesc Grimalt — known for his work rescuing the indigenous Callet grape — and musician Sergio Caballero, co-founder and director of the Sónar music festival. Their key discovery was call vermell, a clay loam soil rich in iron oxide that proved the ideal growing ground for Callet. This wine comes from two small plots of 60-year-old vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts, with only 800 bottles filled in November 2021. The label was designed by contemporary American artist Gary Baseman — the art is as deliberate as the winemaking.

Best Enjoyed With Serve at 14–16°C. Roasted lamb, Mallorcan frit, aged Manchego, or charcuterie boards. The lightness of frame makes it more versatile than its price suggests.
