A blend of 60% Viura and 40% Verdejo, the new white 2024
Loseco is a village wine from La Seca that was inspired by the Nat'
Cool concept created by Dirk Niepoort—fresh and approachable
wines that are agile and straightforward but with complexity and
depth and, in this case, a chalky and sapid minerality. The
percentage of Verdejo varies depending on the year, as they look
for the balance between the limestone character and the fruit; the
Viura is very good at transmitting the character of the soil, and it's
softened by the Verdejo. After years of trials, this was bottled
unfined and unfiltered, which makes the wine livelier. I'm very
impressed. It keeps a moderate 12.5% alcohol, reflecting a less
warm year, and with a pH of 3.27. 6,000 bottles were filled in March 2025.
