The Vibe The name means "the other" — and that's exactly what this is. Not the Demeter-certified flagship, not the single-vineyard statement wine. L'Altre is the estate's entry point, built for the table rather than the cellar, with enough structure to be interesting and enough juice to not require thinking about it. Six varieties, one purpose: an honest mountain red that earns its place on a Tuesday.

The Taste Raspberry, blackberry, and a creamy lactic quality on the nose, backed by raw chocolate and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the "double personality" holds — upfront fresh fruit followed by a rounder, oak-softened finish with fine, well-integrated tannins. Fermentation runs half in stainless steel and half in cement, both with wild yeasts, then two months in neutral French oak — enough to add texture without flattening the mountain fruit character.

The Story The Arnó family founded Lagravera in 2006 to reclaim a former gravel quarry — la gravera in Catalan — converting stripped industrial land into certified organic vineyard. Winemaker Pilar Salillas has led the cellar since 2018, pushing the estate's ambition upward while keeping L'Altre grounded in what the DO does best: generous, food-friendly reds from Garnacha-led blends grown on gypsum-rich Pyrenean soils. Unlike the estate's Demeter-certified wines, L'Altre carries organic certification — it may include grapes from partner growers in some vintages, keeping production flexible and the price honest. 

Best Enjoyed With Serve slightly chilled at 14–16°C. Roast chicken, pasta with meat sauce, grilled lamb chops, or a charcuterie board. The structure handles food; the fruit handles the rest.
