'Els Presseguers' is a single vineyard of local variety Xarel lo, which has historically been a variety utilised in sparkling Cava blends rather than still wines.
L'Enclos de Peralba is tapping into Xarel lo's potential in a big way, putting this variety front and centre in their wines. It's a variety that thrives in Penedès and is especially easy to farm organically since it's very resistant to disease. It can be quite subtle and needs a skilled winemaker to bring out its best, which L'Enclos de Peralba more than achieve.
This expression is just gorgeous, with notes of ripe peach, citrus and soft herbs with layers of texture and weight. A wine that will age very well, but is equally approachable now.
