Clos Lojen is selected from six small parcels of the local Manchuela grape variety Bobal. The traditional bush vines are between 30-50 years old and the soils are mainly chalky clay.

Vines are grown at 800 metres above sea level, producing fresh, balanced juice from slow maturing grapes with fantastic acidity

Sweet, ripe nose with warm, plummy dark cherry and blackberry fruit, and a hint of baked cherry pie.

The palate is ripe and sweet but with a pronounced savoury, structured edge. Dense, mouth-filling and spicy with some drying tannins.

This unusual wine is comprised of 80% Mencía and 20% Palomino, a vineyard mix often found in the Cantabria region of northern Spain. The vines are at least 80 years old and planted in broken slate soils.

The red and white grapes were co-fermented with wild yeasts in steel vats, It was then raised for 12 months in old French oak barrels without any SO2.

The result is an aromatic wine, ruby in colour, with formidable structure. It's like Morgon meets Barolo!

The nose is greeted with floral aromatics. In the mouth, mineral elements linger with very fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Bright, delicious fruit and delicately salty notes are perfectly balanced by the lacy, yet firm structure.

This wine is elegance in a glass.

Comunica is refreshing with good acidity. It is fluid and well balanced with an initially sweet entrance and a salty finish.

It is no more (and it is no less) than a snap-shot of the Fontanals-Baboixos estate.

It depicts the estate’s soils of decomposed granite and climatic conditions which are slightly less severe tan those of the rest of the area. This is why you will find that Comunica is a very unusual wine.

Fedellos’ only white wine is a co-fermented field blend of native varieties from the same vineyard as Lomba dos Ares. The name is a play on Galician language, meaning “Con as brancas”, or “with the whites”. There’s also another joke in there, but it’s less polite so you’ll have to ask the Fedellos personally!

The nose is saline, with a little spice and hints of pollen and beeswax, while the palate is marked by vibrant acidity and plenty of minerality.

    Easygoing but not underpowered.

The handpicked organically grown grapes are fermented in stainless steel using natural yeasts. The wine is then aged for 8 months in 10% French tonneau and 90% stainless steel.

Cucu is a fresh, delightful young wine, bursting with bright citrus zests, bitter melon, herbs, and cool mineral nuance, courtesy of the 718 meters of altitude and siliceous sands and stones over clay and limestone subsoils.

In the mouth there are hints of grass, stone fruit and flint. And as the wine warms, the Verdejo aromatics develop, as the balance of fruit and acidity delight the palate.

The Garnacha here is sourced from a tiny, 1 hectare vineyard near the village of Cerebros in the Sierra de Gredos, but outside the Méntrida D.O. The vineyards are planted on slate soils, with quartz and red clay, at 950 metres above sea level. The vine ages are approximately 70 years. On this particular plot, the climate is Mediterranean with continental influences.

This is a superb example of Dani's drive to deliver Garnacha’s potential to make very fine wines and is one of the jewels in Cosecha’s portfolio.

The grapes are hand-harvested. Whole clusters undergo natural yeast fermentation in open-top oak vats with gentle extraction and a
total of 60 days of maceration. The wine is then aged for 14
months in 1,500 litre oak foudres and one French oak barrel. The wine
    not filtered, fined or stabilized.

Very intense aromatics, incredible freshness, and nervous acidity.

On the nose, you'll discover pure and bright red berry fruit, with
delicate floral notes and peppery spices. The palate is greeted with a delicate, yet expressive, and incredibly fresh bouquet of fruit and delightful spice. It continues with an elegant, long and persistent finish.

Finca el Peruco is made with 85% Tempranillo and 15% Albillo. The vineyard is at an altitude of over 900 metres, making it one of the highest spots in the Ribera del Duero. The vines grow in chalky, calcareous soil.

Harvested very early, the grapes are hand-picked into small boxes. The grapes were de-stemmed and then macerated in the cold. The must was fermented with native yeasts in old oak barrels for 3 weeks. It was then raised in similar French oak barrels for 16 months, without any addition of sulfur.

The nose is complex, slightly reduced with fleshy aromas.

In the mouth, it is light and mineral with saline notes. The wine has very good acidity that makes it refreshing. As time goes by, the wine opens up towards mature notes that reflect aging in wood.

This is a very special red, containing white grapes, that give it a unique personality. Utterly delicious!

The Finca L’Argatà 2016 is made from 85% Garnatxa and 15% Syrah, fermented in concrete, then aged in old oak barrels. The old vine Garnatxa in the 2016 vintage has a higher level of refinement than previous vintages, as the brothers continue to develop their approach to winemaking.

Bright ruby-red, the Finca l’Argata offers aromas and flavours of ripe dark berries and cherry, liquorice and smoky herbs.

Fleshy and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, the Finca l’Argata tastes of sweet cherry compote, blackberry, with a touch of bitter chocolate. Dusty tannins help shape the long, floral and spice-accented finish.

    This Mencia is exceptional.

The grapes come from extremely steep slopes rich in decayed granite. They are naturally farmed, naturally fermented, and the Fusco is bottled without filtration or fining, which is clear in the wine's opaqueness in the glass.

Ribeira Sacra is in the center of Galicia, a cooler and particularly rainy place so Mencia can come across as stemmy, unripe, green peppery.

Albamar's Fusco makes that hard to believe though, it's so deliciously supple and juicy!

Bobal was once thought of as a workhorse grape, only suitable for bulk wines. The grape has been revived by a small group of producers such as Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce, in whose careful hands it can make complex spicy wines.

La Casilla is a deep and complex red with dense, spicy aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate and licorice, with a hint of lavender in the background.

Las Iruelas is a muscular Garnacha from a plot of 60+ year old, head-pruned vines planted at an elevation of over 1000 meters above sea level. A mixed and sandy terroir of granite, slate, schist and quartz with patches of clay, this is the most complex soil that Dani Landi works in the Sierra de Gredos.

Hand harvested, the whole cluster grapes undergo natural yeast fermentation in open vats. The wine is then aged for 16 months in 500 litre French oak barrels.

With beguiling floral aromas that are more reminiscent of the Northern Rhône than the other bottlings from Dani, Comando G or Marañones, Las Iruelas shares the same delicate fruit and delineated mineral structure characteristic of the Gredos, but pitched deeper and more somber.
